Hello, thank you for entering theLab on 3/24 @ New Manchester HS, located at 4925 92/166 Hwy, Douglasville.  Attached please find:

What You Should Know:

Entry ChangesDue to the number of event entries, no 14U athletes will be added to laned events (100, 200 and 400) during the meet. Athletes can be added to field events or the 800m run and above before the start of the 400m relays and with the permission of the Meet Director. It is OK to add a sprint medley team at the meet provided you submit your entry to the Meet Director before clerking closes for the event. (Remember that mixed age groups can run as a relay team, but the oldest athlete will determine the age division.)

Coaches. Coaches are allowed in the infield. Parents, siblings and friends are not allowed in the infield. Think of the infield as the coaches’ workplace. Persons not wearing a coaches’ wristband will be asked to return to the bleachers.

Coaches Hospitality. A light breakfast will be available to coaches during the 8:15 a.m., coaches’ meeting. The coaches’ meeting will be held in the press box.

Check-in/Clerking.

  • Clerking is located inside the stadium across from the fieldhouse (right outside the 100m start line).
  • After check-in, athletes should remain in the clerking area until escorted to the track. Athletes who leave the clerking area (to warm-up, to use the bathroom, etc.) risk missing their heats.
  • All events will have a first call and final call; please check-in at the first call.
  • Age divisions may be combined at the start line to expedite the meet.

Field Events.

  • Javelin and discus will be contested in the grassy field behind the visitors bleachers, across from the tennis courts.
  • Shot put will be contested in the grassy field just outside the stadium.
  • High jump and long jump will be contested center field.
  • All implements are provided with the exception of 600g+ javelins. We also have batons on hand.
  • Athletes competing in a field event when a running event is called (a) must tell the field official about the running event, (b) check-in and compete in the running event, and (c) return to the field event immediately after competing. (The bar will not be lowered upon return to high jump).
  • 3 jumps and 3 throws are permitted.

General Event Information:

Parking.

  • Plenty of parking is available any where in front of the high school; please do NOT park in the lower parking lot (located behind the school or across from the tennis courts).

At the Gate.

  • Gates open at 7:30 a.m. for packet pick-up. Pick-up is available throughout the day.
  • The spectator fee is $5.00 cash (or $5.50 with card) with the exception of registered athletes, volunteers and officials, and persons under age 6 or over age 65.
  • Each club with 5+ athletes will have 3 passes available at the gate; please email operations@tracklab.events if you have not already requested additional passes.

Warm-Up.

  • The track is open for warm-up until 8:15 a.m.

Tents.

  • Tents are permitted only along the upper row of the home side bleachers, and any where along the visitor side bleachers. Please be mindful of your neighbors and remember that time taken by meet management to address tent placement takes time away from meet operations.

Awards.

  • Medals are awarded within each age division (including 6U), even if the event was contested as a combined section.
  • Medals not awarded at earlier meets will be available at the awards desk.

Results.

  • Live results will be available at www.tracklab.events.

Concessions.

  • Concessions will be available throughout the day, courtesy of New Manchester HS.
